  • Yes. Expert Color works on plastic surfaces including bumpers, mirror caps, and trim. For bare or flexible plastics, apply U-POL GRIP#4 Adhesion Promoter first to maximize adhesion. Always clean and degrease the surface before application.

  • Apply 2-3 thin coats, allowing 5-10 minutes between each for flash-off (when paint appears dull). Never apply one heavy coat - thin, even passes prevent runs and drips and give the best finish.

  • Dry to touch in approximately 30 minutes under normal conditions. Full cure varies by temperature and humidity. Once dry, apply U-POL Expert Color Protective Clearcoat for a durable, high-gloss finish.

  • Locate your vehicle's paint code - found on the door jamb, under the hood, or in the trunk. Expert Color uses Axalta color technology for precise OEM color accuracy.

  • Expert Color is part of a complete 3-step system: Prime, Paint, Protect. Use it on metal panels, existing paintwork, bumpers, & plastic trim. For full results, pair with Expert Color Filler Primer and Expert Color Protective Clearcoat.
